About These Leagues     These items apply to most NLB league sessions

How do these Leagues work ?

Much like any league except teams can be located at different centers around the country.
Any* bowler playing in a USBC sanctioned league can participate by using their own league
scores.  The league will have a Monday through Sunday play window. Meaning that any bowlers
bowling leagues playing Monday through Sunday can play on the NLB league.
Bowlers would be required to upload  their scores to the web site within 48 hours of bowling.
The league will be open to bowlers across the country.

How will scores be varified ?

When the team captain uploads scores he must also attach a copy of the previous weeks local
league standing sheets. Either a copy from the secretary or copy paste and attach from league
secretary.com .  Some score systems and secretary software have the ability to print reports which
can be emailed or faxed.  This part of the league will continue to evolve as we go along, but we will be
      very diligent about verification.

A basic part of this league concept is the "Other Game" approach that encourages others to check
reported scores. In the "Other Game", any person discovering and reporting an inaccurate score
reported to the league would receive all of the  point, bracket and pot money the offending team
would have received.  Anyone could.. anonymously.. go online at National Bowler see reported scores
and compare them to local records and a chance to ..anonymously.. collect a violating teams cash.
The "Other Game" opportunity and information is
to be printed and posted at all centers with online
      league bowlers.
The power behind this concept is that it's fun to catch a friends mistake, and most people who cheat
       have enemies.

Through our other businesses our lawyers and we are experienced in multi state cases. For this
league the most likely step would be small claims court. These vary from state to state, in Michigan
for example amounts up to $3500.00 can be addressed in small claims. It's simple, quick, cheap,
and no lawyers are needed. We in fact feel it would actually be very good PR to prosecute (not in
small claims) a visible case to recover damages and show we are serious.  Any cases would involve
actual cash plus damages to the league which would far exceed any cash involved.

How Do I enter ?
You must supply basic information, name, phone, high average, etc.  It's a good idea to print out an
information collection sheet, which is essentially a copy of the online entry form.  You can take the
sheet to the center or speak with your secretary to get the information you need.  With the information
in hand you can fill out the entry with no problems.   When you are ready to enter click on a link to
the entry form page.   Also you can choose to enter brackets or pots if you wish at part 2 of the entry
form,  in part 3 you then pay by credit card or paypal.  Bowlers can also print out a
"Save your spot

sheet " to put on a bullenin board to sign up interested bowlers.

Do I have to have a full team to bowl in this league ?
No , you can sign in as a single or a double and the league will try to find the balance of a team
for you.  Or you can sign in as part of a full team.

Is there point money?
The league will pay point money. The value of each point will equal total point money divided by
     the total number of points.

Will there be brackets ?

There will be  $5.00 brackets. Bowlers will sign up for brackets when they enter the league, and
must decide at that time if and  how many brackets they want to enter.   Brackets will be assigned on a
first to sign up basis. For example, if 18 bowlers sign in for brackets the last two will not get in
the brackets and their money will be returned within approximately 10 days..

What about pots ?
There will be pots in some league sessions, that will be listed in individual session details.

How will my standing show up on line ?
The team captain will be responsible to have their scores uploaded to the web site. Probably within
      48 hours of bowling.

How do I pay the league fee ?
Bowlers will sign up on line and can pay entry fees with a credit card, paypal acct, or by check.
If paying by check bowlers must allow at least 10 days for checks to be cleared.

Where can I bowl to participate in this league ?

You can bowl at any USBC sanctioned center in a USBC sanctioned league.

Can a team bowl during league play ?
Yes a team must bowl during league bowling.

When can I Bowl in this league ?

The league bowling  dates will be set before you sign up to join the league.  The league will
have a Monday through Sunday play window. Meaning that any bowlers
bowling leagues playing Monday through Sunday can play on the NLB league.
Bowlers would be required to upload  their scores to the web site within 48 hours of bowling.
The league will be open to bowlers across the country.

Can any league bowler bowl on a team ?
Teams must consist of USBC sanctioned bowlers.  Members of the PBA and members whose
memberships have not terminated more than three years prior to date of entry, former pro bowlers
and nonmembers that tournament management may determine to be professionals, or any bowler
who has won a National PBA title will not be eligible for this league. These decisions as made by
league management are final. Bowlers who have competed in pro events within the last 4 years
     are not eligible.

Can a bowler be a member of more than one team ?
Yes, A bowler may be a member of more than one team on the same league. The bowler must
enter separately for each team and pay a separate entry fee.

Do team members have to bowl on the same team in their actual league ?
No,  team members can actually bowl in different centers in other states.  The scores will then be
combined for NLB scores and stats.  The team captain will compile and send the team stats
     to the NLB site.

When will and how will I see league standings ?
Standings and cash balances should be available on line by the following Wednesday.

What average must a bowler use ?
Bowlers must use highest average of last three years for the first week of bowling. Averages must be
established over 21 games or more.  Averages and scores will be verified for money winners.

How do I compete with bowlers at a high scoring house ?
We all understand how a handicap gives you a even chance when bowling against a better bowler or
team in your own local league.  Bowling against a bowler or team at a better scoring house is the
same as a better bowler in your own house.

When will I get my point and bracket money ?

Winnings will be paid at the end of the session.  Winnings will be paid to paypal accounts or by
check, we may have more options as the formats evolve.  The scores of money winners will be verified
several ways and with local league secretaries before money is paid out.  Bowlers will be responsible
      for making league records available.

Will there be other leagues with different formats ?
Yes, as this program evolves there will various formats and starting dates.

We want you thoughts !
We are just putting these formats together and want to hear your ideas,
E mail us.
