National …Online League Bowling… is a tool that could be fun and help get a few
...
more bowlers excited about bowling
.
In this business something different and new to talk about, can be very hard to come by. Especially something Free that involves No work. We all know many factors have brought about the
decline of league bowling. The internet and it's ability to connect people across the country (and the world) has definitely been one of those factors. On any given evening there are probably as
many league bowlers on the Internet
as on the lanes. We should be able to put the two together. While a very small percentage of bowlers would likely get involved in online league bowling, that small percentage could
help offset the small percentage that leagues have been shrinking every year.
To give you a little background, I am one of the principals of Biggest Dream Productions, and through Biggest Dream Productions and other
businesses myself and others here have been involved with music tours, entertainment events, promotions, and tournaments for over 25 years.
I have also owned a bowling center/bar/restaurant for over 25 years, (until last year). I
have seen the changes, from 3 shifts of leagues every day, to one or 1 ½ shifts, while building cosmic bowling, birthday parties, company parties, and special events, as food went from burgers and fries to
high quality restaurant offerings. My point is, people here know the challenges that centers, associations and league bowling face.
While I said no work, mentioning this to a couple bowlers or putting a card on your bulletin board would
help fight the fight.
Thanks and good luck, Steve Catlin
